About us

The Dental Wellness Trust was founded in May 2011 by Dr Linda Greewall, fulfilling her long-envisioned life goal of settin up a dental charity. Our mission is to improve the general health and wellbeing of young children through dental wellness-especially those most in need.

Many children are suffering the consequences of the UK's oral health crisis. We want to put and end to this critical public health issue by providing free innovative oral health education programmes to nurseries and schools around the world. This is how the LiveSmart supervised toothbrushing programme was born. It started in South Africa, and it is now rolled out in the UK and Kenya.

We rely on the support of the public to raise funds. Every donation is invested into teaching children how to brush their teeth properly-ranging from providing essential training to teachers and supervisors to an ongoing supply of free Toothbrushes and toothpaste. We also conduct school-based outreach programmes like screening and fluoride varnish application. And last year Dr Linda open the doors to her dental clinic to give free dental care to refugees. 

Finally, it goes without saying improved dental hygiene taught at an early age will have long term benefits for children's teeth.
