My Story

Hi There!

I will be running 5 marathons in 5 weeks in April 2023 to raise money for Dementia UK.

Sunday 2nd April - Great Welsh Marathon

Saturday 8th April - Magna Carta Marathon

Sunday 16th April - Manchester Marathon

Sunday 23rd April - London Marathon

Sunday 30th April - John Lewis Marathon on a treadmill on the ground floor of my work at John Lewis Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

My beautiful Mother was diagnosed with Mixed Dementia in 2018. Dementia doesn't get better, a cure has not been found, yet. She was a strong, feisty, funny and brave single mother to me and my sister. She travelled the world. She looked after me through some very tough times, now we look after her.

She still knows who I am and is very proud of me for doing this.

Dementia UK is an amazing charity who have helped both myself and my Mother since the diagnosis. They provide information, support and Admiral Nurses to patients and families.

We need them and they need us to support them and to raise money for them to keep doing the amazing work they do.

Please, if you can, give a little or a lot to help.

5 marathons in 5 weeks will be hard, it will hurt me physically and mentally. But, I will recover. Mum wont.
