My Story
It's been a while since I picked up a pair of running shoes (ahem, more years than I care to remember!) but I'm determined to prove that having 2 small kids in your forties shouldn't stop you from pursuing big dreams.
I got diagnosed with coeliac disease back in the 1990s after spending years in hideous pain. To begin with things were really difficult and Coeliac UK was pretty much my only source of help. They guided me with gluten-free lifestyle tips and food sources so I could build my life again.
Being a small charity can't be easy so I want to show my gratitude for the fantastic work they've done over the years.
I'm not going to pretend it'll be straighforward; I'm certain there'll be days when I'd prefer to be on the sofa rather than out training in the testy English winter weather, but given I managed to do a training run on both Xmas Eve and New Year's Eve, I'm determined to see things through.
And I'll definitely be more inspired by a donation from you to show you believe in me - whatever you can manage, I know that both Coeliac UK and I will be truly grateful.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. xo
