Amy’s London Marathon 2023
Amy Hopkins
My Story
This January I made the decision to accept my place running the London Marathon for Cancer Research UK this April 23rd.
I am not a runner and have never participated in a race but raising money for the research and treatment of this awful disease was something worth stepping out of my comfort zone for.
We all hope for a future without cancer or a world where cancer is curable; donating is a sure way of seeing a brighter future for the generations to come.
I am very lucky to have been given an opportunity to be able to decide whether to participate or not and so I am running this for US! Our loved ones who have lost, those who have survived and those who will continue to be impacted by the devastation of 'the big C'
Miles 20-26 I'm running in honour of a special family within our community who have recently been greatly impacted by cancer.
With miles 1-19 I would feel honoured to run for your loved ones. Upon donation please give me a mile to run (in some shape or form) in their memory on your behalf.
Any donation amounts are welcome, no matter how small they will all make a difference.
Much love,
Amy
