My Story

Hello and thank you for checking out my fundraising page for the Scottish Cot Death Trust. On 23rd April 2023 I'll be running the London Marathon whilst raising money for SCDT who provide invaluable support to families affected by Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI). SCDT also do amazing work towards education, training, prevention, and support for professional (like myself) towards reducing SUDI as far as possible.

In my career as a Health Visitor in the Southside of Glasgow, I've worked closely with the Scottish Cot Death Trust and collaborated with them on training and the recent SUDI strategy. I'm very humbled to have the opportunity to represent SCDT At this year's London Marathon.

I'm a relative newcomer to running having only really started 2 years ago during winter lockdown. Since then I've completed 2 half marathons, started bagging munros, and become a CrossFitter (yeah, I know!). But I've never completed a full marathon and well, I'm buzzing and petrified in equal measure!

For anyone who's had to suffer listening to me talk about Munro bagging, CrossFit, veganism or come to one of my gigs, this is your chance to contribute to my suffering for a whole 26.2 miles of London Town! Surely that's gotta be an incentive!

Your support means the world to me and to all the families offered support by SCDT! Thank you!

with love,

Andrew x
