My Story

I'm running the London marathon 2023 for brain tumour research as my chosen charity. This is a cause very close to my heart as it has effected a lot of people that are close to me in my life and I've witnessed first hand the devastating effect this cancer can cause.

I lost my cousin Oscar when I was 6 years old and he was only 7 within 2 weeks of diagnosis to an inoperable brain tumour, within the same calendar year one of my closest childhood friends Gary was also diagnosed with a brain tumour. Above all odds he went through a major operation and gruelling treatment to survive and continue to live his life. Fast forward 20 years later Gary once again was struck down by this awful disease and faced head on a 15 hour operation to yet again conquer and survive. Without vital funding and the amazing research this funding provides Gary would not be here today living his life independently as an adult in society.

im prepared to run in the dark, wet and cold freezing weather before and after work but I need your help to reach my goal, no matter the amount every penny counts so if you can in anyway help the contribution you give will mean a huge amount to me and get me nearer my target.

love Gus 🤟
