My Story

Hey everyone! 

This will be my first marathon, which I will be running for Childhood First. 

Childhood First, a charity for severely traumatised children. They provide specialist 24/7 treatment and therapeutic education for children with complex psychological, emotional and behavioural needs. They have five residential children’s homes, a special school and a therapeutic fostering service.

With my job as a teacher and Head of Year, I work with alongside many students who have had disadvantaged backgrounds, students who have fled their own countries due to war and students who are in foster care. 

I didnt want to run the marathon for any charity/just to do the marathon. I want to make a small impact on childrens lives away from the day to day job. 

Every child deserves the best up bringing, and supporting Childhood First to do this would mean a great deal to me.
