My Story

This year, on Sunday 23rd April, I will be running the London Marathon for the very first time in aid of the amazing Lighthouse Charity, the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

Every working day, two construction workers take their own life. The Lighthouse Mission is that no construction worker or their family should feel alone in a crisis.

By supporting the Lighthouse Charity, we will be able to provide more workers with “Help inside the Hard Hat”, including access to the 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline, the Helpline App, and Construction Focused Wellbeing and Mental Health Training.

The Lighthouse Charity would love your support so that they can continue to help Construction families in crisis.

Coming from a construction family myself, and having my own struggles with mental health, the Lighthouse Charity’s values are very important to me and I cannot wait to take on London’s 26.2 miles in support of them!

I have never run a marathon before, but I am determined to finish and raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity.

Thank you for your support and donations, no matter how small – or hopefully big!

The Lighthouse Charity and I are so SO grateful for every penny donated!

Now, time to train!
