My Story
As many of you know on the 9th of December 2016 my dad passed away, his life support was turned off following a stroke caused by his second battle with blood cancer. He was, and still is, my hero.
My dad was a physical person. He'd gym regularly and cycle long distance on weekends. He challenged himself to cycle the length of Spain, cycle John o'Groats to lands, climb K2 alongside long distance runs and swims. In fact, he did some of them after his first battle with cancer. It is in his spirit that I've decided to run the London marathon in 2023.
As I have mentioned before, Macmillan cancer support were there for my dad and helped him enjoy 5 precious more years of life after he first got cancer. They were a charity close to his heart.
We previously raised money for them through a skydive, the support from which far exceeded my own ambitious personal expectation's which I am very grateful for, but now I'm aiming to be even more ambitious in terms of the challenge and the amount of money we can raise. I've run 2 half marathons but never a full one. This will be the toughest challenge I've taken on, but hopefully it can bring about some good and raise money for this tremendous cause. Any support will be greatly appreciated (link in bio and below if you wish to donate).
