My Story

Back again!!!

2 years ago, I ran the London Marathon and it was both one of the best and hardest days of my life. From the highs of the crowd spurring me on by shouting my name, to the lows of the cramps in my legs and toes that hurt so bad. It was unforgettable… and so I’m doing it all again! This time, I will be raising money for the amazing charity London Youth.

As the current Sports Development Officer at London Youth, I get to experience first hand the incredible work London Youth do that impacts young people all across London. Currently, I manage multiple sports programmes and host events that help to keep young people active and bring communities together, and by running the Marathon, I shall be directly raising funds for this cause.

London Youth Sports Network Event - Nov 22
Empowering my community through sports and mentoring is my background – I am a volunteer coach for my own grassroots basketball club 'Southwark Storm' for over 10 years; I coach National league level at my local club 'Sussex Storm'; and I am the proud co-founder and trustee of charity The Black Society – so to run for a charity whose ethos matches my personal beliefs is a blessing for me and I look forward to the challenge.

The last time I ran the marathon, I completed it in just over 5 and half hours. This time, I hope to finish strong and complete the event in under 5 hours! Either way, I plan to raise as much money as possible for London Youth.

Thank you for your support and donation.

This is the way.
