My Story

For us this is personal, music and sport have been instrumental is forming our lives. The impact of music and sport on young people’s overall well-being cannot be overstated. There is insurmountable evidence that demonstrates both are a means to encourage trauma recovery, bolster academic achievement and improve mental resilience. However, not everyone has the financial resources to pay for lessons or the opportunity to join a team. As a result, they can miss out on important benefits that can help them reach their full potential. We created the Kerslake Robshaw Foundation for two reasons, firstly to provide music and sport to young people to promote both trauma recovery in youth affected by grief, abuse and violence, and secondly to provide access to music or sport regardless of background.
 
Young people can be empowered through the fields of music and sport and in doing so unlock the potential, passion and drive that we believe every child has inside of them.
