Chris Travis - London Marathon Attempt #2

My Story

Hi all

I am once again running the London Marathon and am lucky enough to be able to represent for a second time, the fantastic charity - Cherry Lodge Cancer Care. They are a small charity based in Barnet who work to improve the quality of life for those living with cancer, their carers and families.

Cancer affects so many families, including my own. I ran my first marathon in memory of my Nan who passed away from lung cancer. This year I will also be running with my wife's lovely aunt, Judith, in mind, who we lost to pancreatic cancer last year.

As some of you may be aware, I completed my first marathon in October 2021 with a time of 3:11:47. To keep things spicy and to know your money is going in part to my suffering, I've set myself an ambitious target of attempting a sub 3 hour completion 🫠

The journey of training and running a marathon I think captures the spirit of what charity fundraising is all about - small increments add up to huge results!

Every donation made, no matter how small, will add up to have a big impact on this independent charity, so please give whatever you can spare.

Thank you!
