My Story
This year I will be taking part in my first ever marathon! I am running this years London Marathon to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). This is a charity that is very close to my heart as unfortunately, in 2011, my Uncle lost his battle with MND.
MND is a life threatening disease and is a condition that affects the nerves known as motor neurones. These nerves are found within the brain and spinal cord which tell your muscles what to do. MND causes weakness overtime, affecting movement and speech.
Unfortunately there is no cure for MND, but by raising money and awareness more research can be done to find one!
My aim is to raise £1500 (my employers Toyota will fund match up to £1500) so in total I hope to raise £3000.
No donation is too small and all of the pennies add up! Every donation is really appreciated!
