My Story

So those of you that know me well will know that I managed to get myself around the 26.2 mile course that is the London marathon in 2018...you will also know that I swore that I'd never, ever do it again...

That feeling lasted roughly a year until, in the spring of 2019 I convinced myself I had unfinished business with that course (having limped my way to a time of just under 6 hours), so of course I signed up to run again in 2020.

Early 2020 saw the arrival of covid and we all know the mess that caused to our lives! Despite that and thanks to the kind people at Children with Cancer UK I was able to defer my place on a couple of occasions...well it seems I can run, but I actually can't hide and that's why on Sunday April 23rd 2023 I will be reacquainting myself with that gruelling course, all in the name of a charity that is VERY close to my heart!

I know times are hard with the cost of living crisis and everything else but please give what you can to help support a wonderful cause and the incredible work done to help Children with Cancer, I promise to put the hard yards in between now and race day and if nothing else you can enjoy my blood, sweat and tears knowing you've contributed to it! 🏃🏽‍♂️ x
