My Story

I am running the 2023 London Marathon.

As many of you may already know my Goddaughter Phoebe was diagnosed with a ‘Wilms Tumour’ in 2020 at the young age of 2. She went through numerous operations and countless hospital visits to remove the tumour and the whole of her right kidney. After some gruelling Chemotherapy, Phoebe (the warrior) fought off this nasty disease! 

In October 2022 Phoebe celebrated 2 years clear and her family couldn’t have got through this without the help and support of the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. 

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When your child has a serious illness during a time when the family were also battling COVID restrictions it became more precious than ever. 
Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. This includes support for siblings too which was of huge importance too. 

The continued support has been so precious for this family so I could not think of a better charity to raise money for.
