My Story

My wife, Neve, was diagnosed in summer 2022 with breast cancer. The NHS has been amazing but from the very start the resources available from Breast Cancer Now have been invaluable. Helping us both to learn and understand more each step in the journey. Since the diagnosis Neve has undergone a mastectomy and is now facing a course of chemotherapy, followed by radiotherapy, then 10 years of hormone therapy.

I am in awe of Neve as she walks this journey with courage, optimism and resilience. I want to do something to celebrate her bravery and at the same time say thank you for the support we’ve received.  When I realised that the next London marathon would be the same day as our 18^th wedding anniversary, 23^rd April 2023, I knew this was the challenge I wanted to take on.
