My Story

I am raising funds for ING Charitable Trust which will distribute money evenly between 2 charities:

1) blood cancer charity DKMS dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders. DKMS raises awareness,  recruit blood stem cell donors to provide people with a second chance at life. DKMS raises funds to cover donor registration costs. DKMS has registered more than 11.5 million potential blood stem cell donors worldwide. More than
100,000 people around the world have received a potentially lifesaving blood stem cell donation through DKMS.

2) Greenhouse Sports Chariy which aim is to to deliver intensive sports coaching and mentoring to help develop the social, thinking, emotional and physical abilities of young people from disadvantaged communities.

About myself:
I am passionate about outdoor activities & sports.  This is just something in genes. My father still reaching 5000+ summits in his 70+ across the Globe and inspiring me move around. I started with kayak sports in my school age, moved to sport orienting in teenage years, earned bare boar skipper licence in 20-ties and turned to triathlon and cross-country skiing marathons in my 30-ties.  Running was always a way to think about things which you are doing right and things you need to change. My life and work in financial Research sometimes remind me long run endurance sports. You need to add value and / or energy to move further. You need to move further even when forces and initial passion has left behind. You keep moving and then you understand you have something more valuable ahead. The goal which is important, and you start receiving energy just from the air, sun, rain, wind and/or snow. And you reach your goal finally, full of joy from the completion and fully exhausted as hard work is done.
On Sunday, 23 April 2023, I am going to run London Marathon and raise funds for ING Charitable Trust which then will evenly distribute it to bloodcancer charity DKMS and Greenhouse Sports charity.  This will be my first ever running marathon. In the past I did a lot of cross-country marathons, endurance triathlon distances (like half-IronMan) and running halfs. London Marathon is one of the desirable target for all amateur runners in the world and I am happy that I got this chance and chance to help through fundraising.
