My Story

After a few years away from any serious running I decided that it was time to get back on it with a goal that I know requires serious dedication. To ensure that I work hard and stick with the training I have made the decision to raise money for a cause that is close to my heart, having watched my grandad struggling with the disease for over 20 years of his life, I am fully aware of the implications that the disease had not only him, but also family around him who witnessed his suffering. Every hour 2 people are diagnosed with Parkinsons and I would like to raise money to help find a cure for this debilitating disease.

I have completed the London Marathon twice in the past and it is an event that I really love. The atmosphere of race day is incredible and I imagine there are very few races that will top this one! Fingers crossed, with plenty of hard work over the next few months the event will be something to enjoy (followed by a few beers afterwards to re-hydrate!)

I would like to say a huge thank you to anyone who donates to this cause.
