My Story

"Never again" I said, after finishing my first full marathon last year !! But here I am back in full training because I have been given the opportunity to run the 2023 London Marathon for the Duchenne Family Support Group (DFSG) charity. I will be running it with two of my running buddies.
DFSG is a charity run by families for families with someone who has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. DFSG offer support, advice, days out and accessible holidays as well as being a vital community for families. It is an honour to run for them and raise much needed funds. They are an incredible charity who really make a difference. I have a dear  friend who has a 19 year old son with DMD and she told me that DFSG are a small charity but with big hearts. They are there for us families in so many ways and support us through tough times, we know we have them to lean on when needed!

The training is tough and I will be saying goodbye to my toenails again ! I know it will be totally worth it and what a privilege it is to run for this wonderful charity .

If you feel you could support DFSG by donating even a little that would be amazing xx
