My Story

On Sunday 23rd April 2023, George will be running his 1st ever London Marathon in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity!

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is a very special place to me, as I am here today thanks to the incredible skill and expertise of the GOSH staff who performed life-saving Major Heart Surgery on me when I was just a few days old. Throughout my time at GOSH - including follow-ups etc. I received exceptional care and support.

On a daily basis, hundreds of children, young people and families arrive at GOSH. The hospital continue to put 'the child first and always', through providing exceptional clinical care, having world class facilities and helping to make patients feel comfortable in their surroundings, such as through the GOSH Play Team, as staff work with them to prepare for life-changing treatments and surgery. This was made even more challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic.

GOSH treats the most seriously ill children from across the UK and it does incredible, inspiring and life-saving work day in day out for children, young people and families. This is my small way of saying 'thank you' and continuing to support this fantastic hospital.

Thank you for your support and anything you are able to donate will help support Great Ormond Street Hospital's amazing work.

Together, we are able to make an even bigger difference.
