My Story

Kidney Care UK is a charity close to my family's heart. My sister was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in 2005 and required a kidney transplant in 2008. 15 years on from the transplant, her kidney is no longer performing as well as it should be with a recent scare as her kidney function dropped to 11%. It is likely that within the next few years, my sister may need to be put back on dialysis and require another kidney transplant, and so the services that Kidney Care UK provide will be invaluable in providing her with the support she needs at such a difficult time. That's why I'm putting myself through the pain of running the marathon. Thank you.
