My Story

Grace Godwin

I am fundrasising for Univerisity Hospitals Birmingham Charity (Birmingham Transplant Centre). This is a charity very close to my heart. Last year I lost my dad suddenly to a heart attack which changed our family life forever. My dad donated his kidney to his mum (my nan) as my nan was diagnosed with kidney faliure, as he wanted my nan to be able to enjoy her retirement and spend time with her grandchildren and family. My chosen charity were amazing and provided great support to us as a family along with many other things at that very difficult time. This is my way in my fathers memory to say thank you to them and help them to provide the same support to others. It was one of my dads dreams to be able to run the London Marathon and it makes me so proud to be doing this in his honour but also to be helping others. I look forward to updating everyone on my journey and raising money for this amazing charity. Any donations would be very much appreciated and would help me towards the finish line. Thank you Grace
