My Story

Hi there, I'm Greg. I am 28 years old and from Norwich. These are my 3 Brothers, Will, Tom, and Eddie. My Brothers are very special to me, we are all a year apart and have always had an incredibly strong bond between us. Our eldest brother Eddie (Cheeky grin on the far left) was diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe form of childhood Epilepsy when he was infant which drastically altered all of our lives forever. It meant that Ed required round the clock care and we became carers to him along with our parents. Even when he started attending a specialist school which was tailored to his needs, care during the holidays would often fall on to us as a family which was both wonderful and unbelievably stressful. However, it would have been insumountably harder without the help of some incredible charities who set out to support children and the families of those living with a condition like Epilepsy. Charities like Epilepsy Action worked tirelessly to support families like ours when it seemed like there was no one out there. Thanks to Epilepsy Action our family had the help and information we needed to adapt to his condition.

In November 2007 Eddie sadly passed away, and since then I have always wanted to find an opportunity to give back to Epilepsy Action and celebrate Eds life. So as 2022 would have been his 30th birthday I have decided to run the london marathon to raise money for Epilepsy Action.

Right now times are tough for everyone so whether its £2, £20 or just a message of good luck, any support would be amazing!!

Love you all.
