My Story

Generally seen running around in a vest in freezing winter weather wishing I had put a jumper on, and this time with my sister running the marathon as well, both of us for the Injured Players Foundation (IPF).

I've had many years enjoying rugby, whether that's getting muddy on the pitch or drinking beers watching the game, and now I'm one of the coaches at Leighton Buzzard RFU, where my sons play.

I've experienced a bit of concusison myself and spilt some blood but nothing as serious as some players have unfortunately suffered.

The Injured Players Foundation provides support to rugby players in England who have sustained a catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury playing the game.

The IPF charity works with all players, from the kids at the local club up to the professional level, to empower them to lead their lives as fully and independently as they are able to and supports them for the rest of their lives.

I'm now running the London Marathon to help fundraise and give back to the rugby community in thanks for all it has given me.

If you love rugby please donate!

Thanks, Greg
