My Story

Who knew getting a ballot place would be so easy! Due to a bit of stupidity and bravado I'll be taking part in the London Marathon on 23 April.

I thought I'd take the opportunity to raise some money for a good cause. On 13 August 2021 my niece Nicola sadly passed away. She was lovingly cared for by the staff at Arthur Rank and her family have said the following:

"When our daughter Nicola was in the final stages of her illness, the hospital wasn't the best place for her to be. There were constant movements, a lot of noise and restricted visiting, but when she moved to Arthur Rank the atmosphere changed completely. At Arthur Rank an oasis of calm and kindness transformed those last few weeks before she died, including the care that was given to the whole family"

All your love and support gratefully received.
