My Story

I have always enjoyed running

However, on April 23rd I will be privileged to be running the London Marathon - the biggest, most iconic race in the world.

And I am doing so specifically to raise funds on behalf of Epilepsy Action, in memory of our beautiful daughter Carla Rankin, who we lost to a seizure a few years ago.

Carla was diagnosed with epilepsy at an early age but with the help of a small charity called Epilepsy Action, she learned to live with this distressing condition achieving a University degree and becoming an expert musician in both piano and trumpet. She loved life and lived it to the full.

She also actively raised funds for Epilepsy Action, which provides so much support for people and their families living with this condition. Carla even ran the Bradford 10K  to raise money for them- even though she didn't really enjoy running!

Epilepsy Action is a charity that provides day-to-day help and advice to anyone with epilepsy, or to anyone looking after someone with this condition.

Sadly, Epilepsy Action was adversely affected by COVID, but their help and support continue to be vitally needed and that can only be supported if they have funds.

I would be so grateful to you if you could help me to support Epilepsy Action by contributing to this fundraising page. Every penny will go to help people living with this condition.

Thank you so much
