My Story

Marie Curie is a charity very close to my heart.

My lovely Granny was in a Marie Curie hospice in the final months of her life and received nothing but fantastic care from very kind and caring nurses who made her last months as comfortable as possible. This kindness was always shown to us when we would come to visit and the nurses couldn't do enough to provide support for us at a very difficult time. It is my hope that me trucking around the streets of London will raise funds to enable Marie Curie to provide such kindness and support to other families who use their hospices.

I have always loved running and a physical challenge, but the marathon will be the hardest challenge that I have undertaken to date. Training so far is going well, but there are many more miles to be done, and I cannot wait to tackle marathon training head on.

Given the current economic climate and the lack of Government support provided to charities, fundraising is vital for Marie Curie to be able to continue to provide support and comfort for all its service users. I truly would be grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small as with every mile I run, I will try to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie, and so that they are able to continue to provide the high quality care, the kindness and the compassion that they showed to my Granny and my family to all other families who need their help.
