JADE SULLIVAN | LONDON MARATHON 2023

My Story

In 2020, we lost our Grandad to cancer. On 23rd April 2020 was the final goodbye to our hero, 3 years to the exact date I will be running the London Marathon in his memory.

I will be raising money for The Royal Marsden who supported my Grandad through his journey. I was able to witness first hand what an amazing hospital this was. No day went by where my grandad wasn’t laughing & joking with all the staff and patients, even in the worst times.

I will be forever grateful to the staff and facilities at The Royal Marsden and raising money for them is the least I could do.

My training is underway and this is not going to be easy. This journey will be an emotional & physical rollercoaster. If I could be lucky enough to have a fraction of the courage and strength my Grandad showed me throughout life, this will push me past the finish line.

I will be running every mile with the most cherished memories of my Grandad and most likely be chuckling along the way (whilst concentrating to breathe).

Any donations no matter how big or small will be hugely appreciated.

In loving memory of my Grandad Buck x
