My Story

We've all read the statistic, one in two of us will get cancer in our lifetimes. But it's one thing to read it and it's another to live that experience. This is my family at my brother Nick's graduation in June 1995. Everyone in that photo, me included, would go on to get cancer.

In 2014 Mesothelioma took my Dad's life and in 2018 Neuroendocrine Cancer took my brother's. My Mum and I are currently in recovery for cancer. Like many others my family has felt the full effect of this disease.

I am running this marathon to try and do my small part to raise money for Cancer Research UK. They need funds to do the vital work of supporting those who've been diagnosed and the research to one day beat it.

I got this place pretty last minute, with 13 weeks to go, so have I been training as much as I can to try and do it in under four hours. Please support my effort here for this worthwhile cause and all the families that need our help.
