My Story
In April I will be running the London Marathon and I am proud to be fundraising for Samaritans.
What do Samaritans do...?
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. They are there every day of the year, day or night for anyone struggling to cope. Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide. Samaritans believe that suicide is preventable.
Why...?
I will be running in memory of a best friend, tragically lost to us in October last year.
I have felt the devastating effects suicide has had personally and on countless friends and family. I'm moved to try and do something to hopefully prevent others going through similar. I believe it is SO SO important to encourage the conversation and support the critical work Samaritans do in providing help to anyone struggling to cope - day or night, 365 days a year.
If you are able, any contribution you give will make a huge difference.
With profound thanks,
Joseph
