My Story
I am running the London Marathon 2023 for the Brain & Spine Foundation. It is a small charity that does amazing things. After my my boyfriend Liam, recently passed away from significant brain injuries, this charity means so much more to me. This is in memory of him, and any donation you can make today will make a real difference to other loved ones affected by these kind of life changing conditions.
The Brain & Spine foundation provide free professional services for anyone affected by any neurological condition. This ranges from well known conditions such MS, brain tumour and strokes to rare conditions such as Chiari malformation and MND.
The helpline is run by neuro science trained nurses that offer tailored information and guidance. Neurological conditions are often complex and poorly understood by those affected and their families. Many people wait for a long time for diagnosis while living with ongoing symptoms and the anxiety of not knowing what the future holds. The helpline provides information, answers questions, reduces anxiety and helps inform choices.
They also provide a range of peer support groups and research and campaign for change, read more here - www.brainandspine.org.uk
Over 10,000 people are forced to wait over a year for neurological services. Your donations will help them at every stage, from first symptoms, diagnosis, treatments and in the long term.
Please dig deep and help me hit my target!
Thanks! Josephine x
