My Story

I will be running the London Marathon this year and have decided to raise money for DEPHER, rather than other charities that could be associated with myself.  As many of you know I am disabled myself as I have Multiple Sclerosis, and metal plates in my leg, after breaking my knee a few years ago, so this is a real challenge for me.  As a mental health nurse I recognise the importance of giving people hope and that they have a future free from pain and worry.

James and his team at DEPHER epitomise the best of British!  They help some of the most needy in our society, namely the elderly, and the disabled, who in these current times of hardship, and soaring costs of living, are struggling just to survive each day.  Depher's care for the vulnerable has recently been expanded to also help families struggling to eat or provide the basics such as nappies or shelter for their families.
