My Story

Running for me is a love/hate relationship. I hated it growing up, did everything in my power to get out of sports at school. Lockdown saw me turn to running as something to focus on at a time when there was nothing else I could do.Ive grown up watching the London marathon on our tv and always thinking I’d love to do it but never actually thinking for once I would. 2021 saw me do London marathon with my best friend & it was as amazing as I’d dreamt.
Not wanting to come down from the buzz that I felt and the sheer proudness of how far I’d come saw me enter it again for 2022, this time running it solo but with an epic running club helping me grow in confidence. @pgc1coaching
I told everyone that was it, no more marathons. My body is ruined from the training 😂 but a very good friend of mine (@ajjtaylor82 !!) told me I had to go for the hat trick especially having 3 boys that can each have a medal. The fact that this years marathon is on St George’s day too May have swung it! So, very quietly on here I have been training since last year to build back up to London marathon 2023 in April. My biggest driving force is how many of my friends and clients who I’ve inspired. They ALL know I have never been into any fitness, and even running down the road would make me keel over, but I’ve done it and shown that with a little bit of self belief you can keep going.
As long as one foot keeps moving in front of the other I’m already doing better than I was 2 years ago and I’m striving to become stronger each week. It’s not about time, it’s not about winning it’s about inspiring others just as they have inspired me.
So I’m asking any of you who have been inspired by my journey to help me raise money for the wonderful charity I have been given the opportunity to run for. Link in bio

There is a crisis in young people's wellbeing, with rising numbers reporting symptoms of anxiety and depression, alongside a decline in levels of physical activity. Youth Sport Trust is fighting to help all young people tackle the issues they face in today's world and I’m proud to be involved in this local charity.
