My Story

In April 2023 I will be running the London Marathon for two reasons;

1.     The Children with Cancer Charity

2.     My brother Ryan

1.     Children with Cancer Charity

I will be running for the amazing Children with Cancer Charity as I have witnessed first-hand how this disease can effect families and loved ones, and by raising money to show support, this will offer that much needed pillar of strength to help families cope through the many challenges they face.

As we all know charities need OUR help and support, especially now during these rough economic times, and this is why I wanted to do my bit and run for the Children with Cancer Charity.

2.     Ryano

As many of you may know my dear brother Ryan passed away a couple of years ago from cancer. We had an incredibly strong bond which would often burst  into a sibling challenge or competition. About 7 years ago Ryan challenged me to a run the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon.  Being his younger sister and always keen to meet him on any challenge, I could not decline. Sadly, he was unable to run this race with me and passed away not long afterwards.

Running has not always the easiest sport for me, but every year without fail I run a half marathon for him.  I know he will be up there enjoying the fact our challenge still continues today and he will particularly like the fact that he’s pulled me, yet again, out of my comfort zone, this time a little bit further!!

Please help me in supporting this beloved charity by giving families a much needed helping hand when they need it most.

As Ryan always reminded me; ‘We are not here for a long time we are here for a good time.’
