My Story

I'm running the London Marathon for Children with Cancer UK.

My son Manny was diagnosed with Leukaemia at 4 years old. He is now two years into his treatment which is like a marathon for him everyday.

I've seen and experienced first hand what these charities do, not only for the children but the families included. When somebody is diagnosed with cancer it's like a disaster of nature. It turns your world upside down, collapsing the life you had built, weakening your once solid foundations. It shatters what you thought your future looked like. It transforms your entire life hearing them words 'we're sorry but your baby has cancer'.

Every day in the UK, 12 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer. On average, two of them will not survive 😔

At Children with Cancer UK, they have one aim – to give every child with cancer the opportunity to ring their end-of-treatment bell and keep their family together.
