My Story

I feel truly honoured to have gained a place running the London Marathon 2023 with team Addenbrookes. I have personally worked within the trust for over 10 years. I have seen the positive impact fundraising has in developing and improving the services our patients receive, including supportive psychological and emotional services of which I use regularly to support patients within my care. I ask that you donate any pennies, pounds or hundreds 😉 you have towards this innovative hospital and help me on my journey to raise a minimum total of £2,500. This will help to continue achieving transformative patient care for the future of Addenbrookes and our patients.

Here are some amazing things they have managed to fund thus far:

  • An outpatient garden, providing a safe haven away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital.
  • A surgical robot allowing prostate patients to access minimally invasive surgery.
  • Funding over the next 3 years will be going towards the build of the Cambridge children’s hospital. It will be the first dedicated children’s hospital in the eastern region.

I will be running this race with my heart on my sleeve in memory of my father who I sadly lost to a heart attack on the 6th November 2020.

You may have already donated for both myself and James’ journey to running the New York marathon on November 6th 2022. We managed to raise a total of £2,250 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to help raise awareness of heart conditions. 🤍

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you show me throughout and any money you can kindly donate to this amazing cause.
