Louise’s London Marathon fundraising challenge

My Story
Firstly I am so excited to be running the London Marathon 2023 and am verging on looking forward to the gruelling training schedule come January...
From past experience, I know it won't be easy battling the wonderful winter weather that England throws at us but it will all be worth it.
Being a primary school teacher I am fortunate enough to teach and get to know so many little people and hopefully inspire some of them along the way. They all mean alot to me but some children will Always hold a special place in my heart.
Unfortunatlly, not all children have the supportive loving upbringing we all hope that we would have and I have seen first hand the psychological impact of trauma at a young age. Childhood First gives opportunities and resources to these children, providing them residential care, food and someone to support and guide them to a better future.
One of Childhood First's residential houses, Oakwood House also supported my Grandmother during her younger years, providing psychological care at such a crucial stage of her life.
I hope to raise £2000 where £100 provides a trip for these children and £20 will provide games to help them deal with their trauma.
I look forward to seeing some of you in London on the 23rd and will keep you updated on my training progress!
A HUGE thank you in advance
