My Story

Jewish Care is the largest health and social care organisation serving the Jewish community in London and the South East.

Jewish Care provides a wide range of specialist support services for older people, including Holocaust survivors and refugees, people living with physical disabilities and ongoing mental health needs, in London and the South East. Our services include; residential care homes, Retirement Living schemes, centres for people living with dementia and community centres, JC Presents online community programme, befriending and Meals on Wheels services. Jewish Care support people living with dementia, MS and Parkinson’s together with their families and carers.

The cost to provide these services is significant and continues to grow. They cannot maintain this level of care, let alone meet the increased demand, without the support from our community.

Jewish Care need to raise a total of £16 million every year just to continue to care for the 10,000 lives they touch every week.

Therefore, I have decided to go completely out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to run the LONDON MARATHON! Running the London marathon has always been a dream of mine but I have never been naturally sporty or athletic. This will be a major challenge for me but I am SO excited to start my marathon training journey whilst raising money for an extremely important charity that makes a huge difference in the lives of so many people.

My goal is to raise £2,000 and I will be running on 23rd April 2023.

Any support and donations will be greatly appreciated!!!
