Man Vs Fridge vs London Marathon
Sam Hammond
My Story
Who am I?
I am Cpl Sam Hammond, a serving Royal Marine and a outdoor enthusiast! In 2022 I was the first/only person to scale the Welsh 3 Peaks with a fridge on my back all to raise money for charity! In 2023 I plan to go bigger all while raising money for SSAFA, the armed forces charity!
Whats the plan?
I will be attempting to complete the London marathon carrying a fridge on my back!
The current world record sits at 5 hours 49 minutes and 37 seconds which was set at this event!
Who are SSAFA?
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of practical, emotional, and financial support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2021 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 66,000 people, from Second World War veterans to those who have served in more recent conflicts, or currently serving (both regulars and reserves), and their families.
SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.
