My Story
THIS IS FOR MY THIA X
Some of you may know I am taking on the challenge of my life (3 years later than planned) and I will be running the London Marathon in honour of my beautiful Thia (my 2nd Mama).
She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in September 2019. I felt utterly devastated, I couldn't fix her, I couldn't make her better so the only way I’ve been able to deal with this is by fighting with her in the best way I know how. Had i ran the marathoing in April 2020 she would have been alive to cheer me on from her bed in Cyprus.
Sadly she passed away on 13th July 2020. I was unable to say goodbye or be there due to Covid and even now my heart breaks every time i think about it.
I am taking on the London Marathon on 23th April 2023 to raise as much as I possibly can for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Please show me your support by making a donation to my cause. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big or small donation, every penny helps (but big ones are really nice 😜).
Thank you xxx
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we’re taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer.
