My Story

As many of you know I try and run a little bit, mainly to escape the world....or maybe just my husband and kids 😂.

I ran Manchester Marathon last year and raised money for a charity that supported us and our journey with Ralph. The time I managed to get running this marathon I knew was under the "good for age" time needed to apply for a place to run at London Marathon, but I never actually thought I'd get a place.

When I saw the Leeds Marathon 2023 advertised in the summer, I thought sod it I will enter that.....Then of course two months later I found out that I had managed to secure a London Marathon entry too.

Well blooming heck.... two marathons within three weeks of each other. What have I gone and done??? It takes me months to get over one let alone two😂

I therefore thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try raise some more pennies again. I've decided to raise money for a charity that supports the trust I work for: Bradford Hospitals Charity 💙

2023 marks 15 years of me working at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. I started my career as a Staff Nurse on a surgical ward in 2008. I have always worked within the surgical directorate and I currently work with an absolutely fabulous team of ACPs that support the same department. I am so lucky to work with so many amazing, selfless and hardworking  people across multiple departments. I see every day what a massive impact the staff at Bradford Teaching hospitals have on peoples lives on a daily basis.

So to all my friends at BTHFT I'm running for you all, because I think you are all blooming marvellous and I'm so proud to work along side you all xx ❤️
