My Story

I am running my FIRST Marathon for The Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children's Charity to help build a better future for children with cancer. At GOSH, UK's largest dedicated charitable funder of child health, hundreds of children across the UK, and the world, arrive daily and receive life-changing treatments for the most complex illnesses.

In 2021, I received a UCL Excellence fellowship funded by GOSH Charity, allowing me to start my research program at the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health - GOSH's research partner where many researchers, like me, work closely with clinicians and doctors to develop life-saving treatments for childhood illnesses. My research seeks to understand the brain circuit pathways that control stress and the mechanisms underlying stress-related neurological disorders with the ultimate goal of developing new treatments.

I am running the marathon to thank everyone at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, the GOSH Children's Charity, and the Institute of Child Health for their great service to save lives and supporting me and my research career.

With your donations, GOSH Charity can ensure that the nurses, doctors, and research teams can provide the best care and develop life-saving treatments used here in the UK and worldwide. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer. Run it. Beat it. #TeamGOSH
