My Story
From the moment children are born they are highly dependant on others to satisfy their basic needs. Children don’t get to choose the people that care for them, nor what they can have access to during their childhood. They further do not have any choice over how privileged they are, making them in this respect, particularly vulnerable, which it turn impacts their welfare and overall well being.
In the UK, 3 in 10 children, thats 3.9m children live in poverty. This means a deprivation of the basic rights of children to access health care, education and to enjoy an adequate standard of living.
Action for Children helps and supports families of children who experience poverty, who struggle to afford essentials, like health and food. Action for Children has helped over 600 thousand children around the UK, where 86% of donations go directly towards helping the children and their families.
As adults, we have the power to help tackle this, and through Action for Children, anyone can easily contribute to help these vulnerable social groups by making a donation - small or big, any contribution is vital to a child’s welfare.
Running is fun, but running with a purpose makes this a journey of deep fulfilment and joy.
I would be most grateful for your kind support of any kind, during this meaningful and impactful journey🫶🏼
