My Story

I cannot quite believe it but, I have been lucky enough to secure a Good For Age place in the London Marathon 2023 and have chosen to run for Cynthia Spencer Hospice. 🙌💙💛

Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides inpatient care, outpatient services, Wellbeing services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema service and palliative care clinical nurse specialist service. We have specialist consultants in palliative medicine, a team of doctors and specialist nurses working within the Hospice and the community as well as in Northampton General Hospital and Danetre Hospital in Daventry.

I work for Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity as their corporate partnerships fundraiser. I see on a day to day basis the difference fundraising and support really makes to patients as well as their families, who are experiencing difficult times. Hospices are a place that many people have had some experience or connection with, whether that be a family member or friend. 

At Cynthia Spencer, through fundraising and support, we are able to continue to provide and develop current services, as well as implement new ones within Northamptonshire. I am passionate about patients having dignity, choice and the opportunity to live every moment. 

Hospice care is vital across the whole country and running the London Marathon will ensure that this is kept at the forefront of people's minds.

This is for all Cynthia Spencer Hospice patients and hospice patients across the country as well as their families.
