My Story

I am inspired by my 5 sisters who have survived cancer as well as my mother and mother-in-law who have died from it.

Cancer Research UK is an obvious one to choose for me, given my family history. My sisters have been through a lot with their treatment and I know without the work of charities like Cancer Research UK they might not have been able to overcome their illnesses.

My wife’s mother and my own mother weren’t so lucky, as with many other people across the country, and both losses were devastating to our families.

But treatment is improving all the time and it’s important we keep funding the work Cancer Research UK do.

Make no mistake, I don't enjoy long-distance training! But the people I know and have lost keep me going, as well as any funds you can spare - every penny motivates me to go out and start training again day after day.
