My Story
I have always wanted to run a marathon and I couldn’t think of a better reason to take on such a challenge than to help raise money for the hospital that helped my younger sister, Betty, whilst she was young.
Shortly after Betty was born in 2004, she quickly developed a Cavernous Hemagioma on her face. It grew rapidly and treatments were limited until Great Ormond Street Hospital took over her care. Successfully over the next three years they were able to treat the tumour to the point that Betty no longer has any facial disfigurement. Great Ormond Street Hospital really did change Betty's life and we as a family are incredibly appreciative of everything they did for her.
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) treats the most seriously ill children from across the UK and sees the most rare and difficult-to-treat childhood illnesses. Through world-class facilities, pioneering research projects and cutting-edge treatments, GOSH works tirelessly to provide better outcomes for children like my sister.
I'm really proud to be part of the Charity of the Year team for the 2023 TCS London Marathon and by raising money help to take the research, technology, facilities and care that GOSH delivers to the next level.
By sponsoring me, you are making an impact in helping GOSH give sick children the extraordinary care, expertise and facilities that they need.
I will also be posting updates of my training onto this page if you would like to follow my progress!
Thank you.
