My Story

The Duchenne Family Support Group (DFSG) is a UK national charity, run by families for families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a fatal disease and most children that suffer from it will not make it to adulthood. DFSG have been bringing people together for mutual support, information sharing and social activities since 1987.

When I was asked if I would be willing to run the London Marathon for this charity, I was concerned about the lack of time to train - it was at the start of January. However, I thought it was a worthwhile cause to attempt to train and run the marathon for, so I have been on quite a strict training regime to get me to a position where I now believe I can complete the marathon in a reasonable time, but all the donations people can make will definitely help spur me on. Thank you.
