My Story
Roxana has been in regular contact with blind veteran Peter for over a year and has been inspired to take on the London Marathon after hearing of the support he receives from our charity.
Roxana speaks to Peter, who is in his 80s and served in the Royal Air Force, in her volunteering role as a telephone friend for the charity Age UK.
During their conversations Roxana has heard about us, and the support we have given to Peter, and has chosen to fundraise for us by taking on the 26.2-mile London Marathon on 23 April.
