Sam and Vass are lifelong friends who will both be attempting to run two full marathons just one week apart.

We are taking up this challenge to raise money for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care’s much needed services for people affected by cancer. Cherry Lodge is a local cancer charity that receives no funding and relies on fundraising, and this is so important for local people to access their services.

I will be running in memory of my uncle Anthony who bravely fought bowel cancer in his 40's. He regularly used the centre, and found the complimentary therapies so beneficial to him, before sadly losing his long battle in 2014. 

Cherry Lodge played a truly valuable part in supporting him.
