My Story

I’m running the London Marathon this year to raise money for The Compassionate Friends (TCF) , an organisation of bereaved parents and their families. They offer support and care to similarly bereaved parents and family members who have suffered the death of a child.

My oldest brother Tristan died suddenly in 1995 from a brain haemorrhage. Tris was 20 years old and full of life. He was a huge loss to us all: my mum, dad, brother Jake, grandparents and friends.
About 9 years ago my mum became involved with The Compassionate Friends (TCF). Even though Tris had been gone for 20 years she gained so much support from this group that decided to be a volunteer contact and local group coordinator.

TCF offers a unique form of support to bereaved families. Unfortunately the number of families needing this support is ever increasing. My mum and TCF want to be able to reach as many people as possible. This means TCF needs ongoing funding. I appreciate these are hard times financially but please make a donation if you can to this invaluable charity.
